Victorian, 1837 - 1903, braided woven human hair in 14 karat gold (tested) mourning stick pin. The stick pin measures 2.5" long with square top measuring 10 mm x 23 mm. During the mid-nineteenth century hair work became a popular drawing-room occupation, as fashionable as the much-practiced knitting, netting, and crocheting. Good condition!
